Your Car

What can you do if your car ends up underwater with electronic windows?
The bridge collapse in Minnesota made me think of this...
I've heard before that if your car ends up going into deep water, that you will probably not be able to open the car doors because of the water pressure. I heard that to escape from your submerged car, you would need to roll down the windows.
That was fine back in the days when cars had cranks to roll the windows down, but now, all the windows have electronic push button controls. Those controls probably won't work if your car is underwater. Is there some way to get the windows down in that sort of emergency? Or should we just be carrying something heavy to smash our windows with in emergencies?
The best tool for breaking a window is a spring loaded center punch. You just push it against the glass and the spring action will break the window with very little effort.
Do not break the window, or open the door until you are free of your seat belt and in a position to get out of the car. As soon as the glass breaks, the car will be filled with rushing water!.
Get in place and take a deep breath. Break the glass
as soon as the water fills the car you want to start swimming out!!
This is a spring loaded center punch!
