What is an appropriate time for motorcycle sport elegant 5'10 woman just learning to drive?

I plan buy a sports bike for riding in the street, not racing. So far, I look the look of the Honda CBR motorcycle, but I not seen many bikes and just started looking. I want a bike that is respectable and not "girlie", but not too powerful or difficult to manage either. All Suggestions? Thank you!

SV650 is a great idea. Not too big or too heavy, not too much more expensive plastic to break if you drop, insurance should not be bad, and you will not "too big" as you become more skilled.
